Ooh I'm so excited it's here and now time to share my first Stamp Man DT piece with you all. I'm still spinning from being invited to join the team, many of whom I know all of whom have been most warm and welcoming thank you Jill and the Girls.
On to the challenge which this fortnight has been set by Angela who says we must use Gold, Silver or Bronze to tie in with that terrific medal haul Team GB have already achieved with 2 more days to go! Congratulations to all contestants who have given us two weeks of wonderful sport and inspiration.
For my wall hanging I started with a sheet of gold coloured metal and a Stampendous stamp, actually the stamp comes in two parts the frame and the cameo but they do look good together. Stamped the images and then got to work with my embossing tools. Some time later, actually the following evening, the embossing was complete and the metal attached to a backing card. Now the fun started, using a quickie glue pen patterns, lines and swirls were drawn on the metal then sprinked with Shabby Green EP, when that was melted the process was repeated with Aged Wine EP and again with the Shabby Green. Keeping the ep hot and molten some crushed glass glitter and some mica were added followed by more ep. Finally satisfied with this layer of colour and texture with metal embossed flowers poking through the panel was allowed to dry. Gold coloured ribbon attached to frame the piece and provide a hanger. To finish off a little butterfly stamped onto gold coloured vellum cut out and attached.
Well there you have it, my Stamp Man sample and like all the team I'm eager to see what you all make of the challenge.
I'd like to share this with
