I'm pre-scheduling this as I've no idea how long the disruption will go on. By the time you see this I hope it will all be over but you never can tell!
At the Craft-Room Challenge this fortnight Maria has set our theme which Tando Creative are sponsoring. The theme is Childhood Memories.
I used to love going to country shows where as often as not they had wonderful nostalgic steam driven merry go rounds. As soon as Di brought this Tando Carousal out I just knew I had to make one up. With Maria's theme the timing was perfect.
For my Carousal the main chipboard pieces were first lightly painted with white gesso before being given bright and colour coats of Viva Inca Gold. The scroll work and edge of the platform have been gilded, while the center uprights have been stamped and decorated with gold coloured ep. The prancing ponies were painted with Artquest Sparkling Pastelles in white and gold the saddles and saddle cloths painted with Inca gold. Their mains and tails have been decorated with Stampendous shabby white EP. One of the beauties of this kit is that there is just one strip to be glued, just one edge of the roof piece to hold it in place and by doing so secures the entire piece.
We all have childhood memories our own or memories of our children/grandchildren the rest of the team have certainly been inspired to share their magical memories with you. One lucky winner of the random draw will win some fabulous Tando Creative products.
