Craft-Room Diecuts and Punches

Somehow Christmas is just not registering here at the moment, rather the IMPs and I are dreaming of Spring and warmer days to come!  Guess I'll not be sending many Christmas cards this year!

Mervi, or Mrs Claus as she is know at this time of year, chose our challenge this fortnight encouraging us to get out our punches and dies.   As Mervi says there are some wonderful punches and dies available and so many things to be done with them.  So for the next fortnight Craft-Room Challenge is excited to see how you use yours.   Of course we have a prize for one lucky winner of the random draw, another fabulous jewellery kits from Rarebird.

For my sample this time I started with the TH Tag die, using the rest of an A4 sheet to make the supporting card.   All stamping is in Momento London Fog which is softer than black.   The posy and butterfly have been coloured with pastel Promarkers.    The card and tag were dusted with Ink Dusters and just the colour on them from a previous project.    The delicate honeysuckle toppers are from a Memory Box die.   I have been having problems getting good cuts with these dies, then Lisa told me to try using the plastic bag holding cereal in boxes.   It worked!

  2. Zoe, this is a lovely delicate card, and I love that die, and that's a really helpful tip, cause I'm often put off a die wondering how it will cut, ta :-) Debi x

  13. This is gorgeous Zoe, and so very pretty! The honeysuckle die is beautiful and looks perfect layered over the tag. I try to make as few Xmas cards as possible, although my mum keeps asking me when I'm going to do some for her! I've almost forgotten how to make them, lol, but decided that CAS is the way to go this year!
