I have not been around recently, still in a bit of a slump really but fine in myself. If I've not visited you please don't be offended it is not personal. Now it's time for another challenge at the Craft-Room. Did you see how many entries we had last time! completely overwhelmed by it and our thanks to everyone who joined us.
This time it is Debi who selected our challenge and she has given us a great theme. Anything French, that's not just Paris it is France in a way that evokes it for you. Our sponsor? this time is Stamp Addicts who are offering one lucky person £10.00 to spend at their store.
Anything French, umm that's a poser so much choice. I've visited Paris a few times and love it's contrasts. Busy and modern and fast but with history and references to the past all around. One thing it is not is shabby or rustic, but rustic shabby chic is, to my mind, very French. I took a Kraft covered note book and dressed it up a bit. You might not see it in the photo but over the cover there is some cream paper stamped in Sepia with French feeling images. Then a strip of lace my local craft shop often has this wide lace in stock perfect for this theme. The clock is from a set of printed acetate the butterfly has been added with foil. Another piece of card stamped in Sepia and very much distressed, the negative from the foil laid over the top. A diecut topper stamped Ladies Diary in you guessed it Sepia, a couple of pins and Fleur-de-lis button added. the final touch some more lace ending with a big bead to act as a book mark.
Stumped for ideas, go and take a look at all the wonderful inspiration pieces the team have made. So that is anything French this fortnight, at Craft-Room. Sponsored by Stamp Addicts hope you will join in.
