Hello and happy birthday to all my Birthday Twinnies out there, you know who you are!
It is also my Blogversary 2nd April 2009, the IMPS were still youngsters bit like teenagers! Yours truly a seasoned crafter just dipping her toe into the rapidly changing waters of blog challenges. There has been a lot of change and hardly any at all!
Two years ago Julia and I were busy planning our soon to be new challenge, Craft-Room Challenge. That has been another wonderful adventure, with a fantastic creative team we all delight in our challenges and the different ways people respond to them. This challenge for the next two weeks is hosted by someone who has inspired me since I first came across her blog, Debi you remain a great inspiration.
Our sponsor this time is Rogue Redhead Designs, a small but growing range of high quality red rubber vintage style stamps. Debi is on the Rogue Redhead Designs team, she was thrilled that it is a challenge she is hosting that they are sponsoring. And Debi's theme is all about books, make a book, alter a book be inspired by reading a book or as in my case make a bookmark. This time you really have to go and see that the team have made they have created sensational projects.
As mentioned my contribution is a bookmark. You can find lots of You Tube tutorials on how to fold a corner bookmark, here is one of the very easy ones. The square for the basic corner fold was first printed up using Dye based inks and my Gelli Pad, one of Rogue's background plates pressed onto the ink and carefully lifted away plain paper pressed onto the design. The Green topper was started in the same way a couple of weeks ago and seemed to match well. The seated girl and sentiments are more Rogue Stamps. Stamped in Momento and coloured with Promarkers.
We are all looking forward to seeing how you respond to the challenge and hope you are going to join us at Craft-Room Challenge.
