Yesterday was the spring Port Sunlight Craft Day, not the biggest sale but just about every stand is quality making it worth 160 mile drive across the island. So I went, sat nav set and having gone before should have been a straight forward drive. Should have been but the God's of Water, or their Children decided to usWie one of their streams as a hose and give us a down pour. Then just to make the misery of the drive complete the God's of misdirection joined in adding about 20 miles and almost half an hour to the journey. Still we got there and the spending commenced. My colleague in shopping was Maria from the Craft-Room Team always good to catch up!
With a bag growing heavy with goodies a final circuit of the sale and now thinning crowd the Dimension stand was accessible. There is was a stamp set like non other, the main stamp is a Harp with musical symbols and a musical score swirl. Definitely the purchase of the day.
This morning the idea of the music flowing through the instrument was tested. The glossy card with stormy back ground is one I made ages ago using the DI and water technique. Pleased with the result it has been kept, as so many things are, for the right project. Harp stamped and heat embossed with silver ep, masked score stamped and embossed with gold ep. Le Plume permanent markers used to add colour to the harp. The Eagle stamped embossed (also gold) and coloured with Sakura white pen. Corners rounded, scallop lace added to 2 corners with pink tipped flowers completing the picture. I just love the dreamy, stormy drama of this, and am entering it in
