Do you sew?

I don't but all the bits and bobs that go with sew fasinate me.   Little packs of needles, spools of thread and pretty pearl headed pins.  So when it came time to decorate/alter this mdf pot from SY Lincoln some of those things or images of them came to mind.   This would be a useful storage for any seamstress.

Painted the pot first with gesso and then with Green Viva Inca Gold.  Then some stamping and heat embossing.  The scissors are a Kaisercraft stamp, also from SY Lincoln.   The others are Sam Poole apart from the sewing machine on the next picture which is a Tanda stamp.   Sizzlits die cuts for the second set of scissors and the needles and threads.

Colouring with DI as a water colour and Whisper pens.   Pin wheel is naturally real most of the pins are accessible!   Buttons little reels of thread and ribbon picked up here and there along the way.

There are a couple of challenge's I'd like to enter this into
Ali-Craft - A new monthly challenge site offering a scummy Graphic 45 set as the prize, they also have a DT call going on.   For the first challenge the theme is 'Open'.

Country View Craft's - for their 4th challenge the theme is Die Cuts.

  4. Oooh, Zoe! That is brilliant! Love the colours and vintage feel. Maybe I should have a go at that, then I might get motivated to turn up all the trousers that are in my sewing pile! That is the problem with coming from such a short family!
