Blue Sunday

This time next week I'll probably still be packing away crafting materials and emptying the kitchen.   Yes its almost time, at last, for the new kitchen.   A year ago I was expecting to be about to get my new bathroom.   The unforeseen meant it did not go to plan and it was another 6 months before my lovely bathroom was installed, hopefully history will not repeat it's self.

So been trying to get ahead with DT projects, you will have to wait for those, but the commission card above can be shared.    It is for a colleague whose husband will be 69 soon, his interests include The Mallard (the fastest steam train in the UK) the colour of which is a striking shade of blue. I do not know of an image of that train so used a TH stamp in it's place.   Memento ink allows the use of solvent pens and a La Plume one comes close to the required colour.    The rails behind the main image are also TH. Rivet and Screw Heads came from another set.    The clock mask used with swipes of Chipped Sapphire and with a strong machine/masculine vibe the metal tag plate just seemed right.

Now tomorrow will find out if this is acceptable, not really sure if Anne understands that my style is definitely on the inky/grungy side.

I'd like to share this with some challenges, thinking about it where would we all be now without challenges and groups.   The cross pollination of styles, theme, techniques and ideas ensures there is always something to inspire.   One of the reasons some friends and I maintain daily challenge lists at Challenges for Days we would love to hear your thoughts about it.

Seize the Birthday - Always anything Birthday
My Heart Pieces - Use a piece of Metal
Left of Center - Use Something Metal
Colour me Creative - Must use Alcohol Markers, Anything Goes
Just us Girls - Monochrome Blue
The Cupboard Trilogy - Monochrome
The Corrosive Challenge -  Birthday Steampunk
Fashionable Stamping - CAS (well for me this is!)
Dream Valley - Monochrome

So it might just be DT stuff for a while, but I'm sure the work on the kitchen will help my weight loss plan.
