It's that time of year when the year seems to be rushing to a close. Christmas is in the shops, before that it is Halloween and then Bonfire night in the UK and Thanksgiving in America. I think Canada's Thanksgiving has past but someone reading this will put me right I hope.
Being a Tuesday it's another challenge at Craft-Room Challenge. We had great fun with our feathered friends theme, this time Esther has asked us to use a stencil or mask. It is also the first challenge when we are joined by our two new roomies Amber and Annie.
Our sponsor this time are the very generous girls we know as Stamp Addicts, who will give one lucky winner £10 to spend at their online shop.
Been doing at lot with stencils recently, they are very versatile and fun to work with. I'd made something completely different as my sample for this challenge but had doubts. Then on Saturday another challenge caught my eye and gave me the idea for this card.
The stencil was used to colour through using Whisper pens in green, orange and beige (sorta yellow/green). Stencil left in place and Dreamweaver Pearlscent paste pushed through. Once the stencil was safely washed, and while the paste was still wet a piece of light weight string laid over the top of the image making a stem from the bottom to the top of the card. Once the paste had dried I used Rogue Redhead stamps to add a simple sentiment.
There are so many things you can do with a stencil, the team have been very creative in their use of them, but we are sure you will show us more ideas to get everyone's creative juices flowing. Don't forget our great sponsors.
