Pink and Green

We have a teamie call out going at Challenges for days, if you can help us maintain the challenge lists please pop over to the site and find out how you can volunteer.   We update a list each day with the latest challenges including the ones I'm entering with this little card.

Back to work Tuesday after a lovely long week-end, lots of sun and plenty of free time.   Time to play, maintaining those Challenges for Days lists help as well we get to see so much that is happening in Craftland.

This is another of the sample cards I've been making for my sorta journal.   This one was inspired by
Inkspirational - Green and Pink
and
Without Words - Pink (&/or Purple) and Green

It is such a pretty fresh and spring like colour combination and although I'm not a pink person I do love this combo.   Not used it for a while either so a good excuse if any were needed.

Cut a piece of nice white card 4 5/8" x 4 3/8".   Stamped it with Pennyblack finch and flowers in Bamboo Memento.   Below the main image stamped a crackle effect also in the green ink.    Around the other 3 edges of the image swirls stamped in Pink.   Using my ink dusters Pink and Green DI applied over card leaving the centre white.   The main image coloured with Whisper Pens.   The bird and main flower stamped again, cut out and coloured with the Whisper Pens, added to the card with Silicon glue giving them stand out dimension.   Finally a Cherry Lyn Designs flourish die cut in green card and added to the piece with more Silicone ink.

1 Stamping.
2 Applying colour with Ink Dusters.
3 Use of colour pens to colour image.
4 3D
5 Die cut

Five different techniques makes this eligible for Monday's Simon Says where the theme is 5.    Every Sunday I look at Cherry Lyn Designs and promise myself I'll enter this week the theme is lots of layers and I've made it!   Country View Challenges have a May theme of Nature's Glories, for me that is what the main image is all about.

So back to work, shame it would be so much more fun to stay at home and play!
