Craft-Room Challenge, Forest Friends

 

We had a great number of entries for out last challenge, unfortunately more or less 50% did not qualify. Mostly it seems to be an issue about the number of challenges entered but with some there were also our other rules that were really being adhered to.  Please read the rules folks we are telling each other and ignoring those entries that are ineligible.

Moan over, we have a new challenge for the next 2 weeks at Craft-Room Challenge, our host is Amber and her theme is Forest Friends.

Amber says "I have picked the theme of "Forest Friends".  I love forest creatures!  You can include any of them in your project, but I ask that they be one of the focal points and not just a "token gesture".  Please check out the New Pesky Rules to ensure that your entry/post qualifies to be in with a chance of winning."

With this colourful time of year and this fab theme I have chosen to create a mix media canvas as my sample.   The canvas is 12" x 9" initially painted with watercolours two trees added with stencils and embossing paste.   When that was dry the trees were given definition with ProMarkers.   Glimmer Mists  more watercolours and stamps built up the scene.    The silhouette birds are felt iron appliqué fixed here with glue with the suggestion of a tree trunk on the edge.   The deer trotting through the woodland is a Tando Creative rain deer also coloured with ProMarkers.
