Oh look I altered something!

It's a slipper hanger that has been waiting its turn for beautification for quite some time.

I always think that things like these are far to good to just chuck out not even in the recycling bin.   So they wind up on my alterable mountain that is growing in various corners around the house.

This one has been turned over and made into a wall hanging.

Isn't it Pink!    The inner heart shape from a Card Craft garland kit was the template for the butterfly wings cut out of designer papers, more DP used to cover the the shape which supports the butterfly and is attached to the hanger.   The hanger is wrapped in twisted sari silk this does 2 jobs it covers the less attractive plastic and gives a surface for glue to adhere to.    More of the same papers and one or two more have been die cut into flower and leaf shapes and then layered up and scattered over the project.   The pretty bird die cut is a tattered lace design from a bargain bin.   Dies are getting so expensive, and not being someone who must have the newest and latest designs the bargain bins are my first stop.
The Crafty Individuals stamp was not from the bargain bin but purchased directly from Crafty Individuals.

I had planned to go to the the Sincerely Yours event at Newark today but a car service and 4 new tyres rather put paid to that.  Brought work home as well this weekend so it would all have been a bit rushed anyway.   There will be other shows and opportunities to spend money on new craft essentials.

I'm sharing my altered slipper hanger/wall hanging with

Left of Center - Altered Art
Fussy and Fancy - Breast Cancer Awareness Lots of Pink
Artist Trading Post - A new challenge on the block starting with an Anything recycled/repurposed goes.

Time now for some decisions, get the work laptop out, do some housework, of have a little fiddle in the crafting zone? Ummmm what should I do? What will I do?
