Ink and Butterflies

I'm going back to work on Monday!  Semi retired means that you do work some of the time but not all the time.   So there is this interim  contact 3 - 9 months look at improving some reporting processes and back to the not working part of Semi retired.

So I should get the house straight before starting work again right?  Yeah I should but my creativity has only just woken up and it was calling to me.

This as an old Mandala style butterfly I stamped and coloured it during the week.   Base layer is acetate the anterior are far too complicated to cut out.  Next two layers are the full butterfly image fussy cut and coloured in the same way with Promarkers.  Just the little wings next and finally just the body.   Base card colour dusted with yellow, blue and green adirondack same pallet as the main image.   Finally an another old wood mounted stamp in grey for the second butterfly and the sentiment.

While making the card above the next card was forming in my head.

The flower is an old PSX Hydrangea stamp coloured with purple and green Promarkers and a little Bubblegum Pink Chameleon faded to almost clear.   Blender pen passed over the coloured image just to knock it back a bit.    The butterfly is from Hobby art stamped onto the card and onto acetate.   The side view shows the added dimension from the wings.

Lights gone for the day now.  Stay warm, stay safe.

  2. That gives a very pretty effect to your butterfly. Love those colours together. Don't envy you going back to work. The money yes but not those early mornings. I like my bed too much now. Thankyou for fluttering by my inky challenge. Hugs Mrs A.
