Back at work for the last 2 weeks only a 3 month contact with an agreement to extend for up to 6 more months if we all agree. Mixed feelings having nearly always worked it feels normal but it isn't what I want long term. If I can get the happy balance of some work and roughly the same amount of time retiring it will be great.
Has meant less time of crafting of any kind which is a serious downside. Still I have managed my sample for this fortnights challenge at Twofers. Christi is our challenge leader this time and for our 13th challenge she has chosen the theme of numbers. Recently we feel that we have been 'discovered' as more people are joining in which is great as a $20 prize from Alleystamp is always offered for the host's selected winner. Thank you Alleystamp you are a terrific sponsor and as a customer your service is also recommended.
Here is the pair of cards I have created for the challenge this time.
I wanted to use the Kaiser Craft bingo card collages for my playing cards, it was only when starting that it became obvious that the same bingo card was used for them. Fortunately I needed a pair of 6's. For the 6 of diamonds the image was stamped in Versa mark 'London fog' and overstepped with the English Stamp Company's curvy diamond. The 6 written in silver Sakura pen, those pens along with the Whisper pens are coming into their own with this set of cards. Some of the unlinked elements of the image were filled with Whisper pens, I'm really pleased with the way he butterfly looks in the finished result.
The 6 of diamonds was first stamped with the English Stamp Company's heart, inked once and stamped 3 times the pattern repeated on the other side. This was overstepped with the Kaiser Craft Penny Farthing/Bingo card collage. This time I turned to my Inkylicious Dusters and Adirondack inks blending over with Red, Yellow, Green and Blue. Making this pair was great fun, and marks the half way mark of the pack.
Both Christi and Jane have worked hard and created brilliant samples for our Number themed project as well. They would love you to visit them and say Hi.
