The Penny Black Saturday challenge for July has been rattling around in my head all month, but there were so many other ideas looking to escape at the same time that it had to wait it's turn. Here finally it is.
Penny Black do quite a few series or sets of stamps from cute/whimsical to fairly simple looking brushstroke generally floral designs, to their layered/faded effect stamps and these delightful collage style designs. I love them all and have stamps from across the range. This one bird music and flowers is restful a little moment of calm in the sea of everyday life.
Stamped the image in black memento ink and coloured it with Chameleon Pens, you know I love those pens don't you? the edges of the card have been decorated with a Tim Holtz mini stencil in floral design and a yellow adirondack ink. The inkylicious dusters used with the stencil were also used to drag more of the yellow in from the edge further brightening the main image.
I'm also sharing this card with
In the Pink - Get out your rubber (must feature pink) I've never entered this challenge before as pink is not one of my go to colours but the flowers here cried out for it, so hopefully there is enough here.

Retro Rubber - Summertime, one entry here so caught my eye wanted to point everyone on the way to it! SewPaperPaint
