Still melting, fit for nothing but getting messy

So that is what I did.   My love of Tando has recently been re-ignited by the new Tando FB group, my having time to really play and make, and the Decorate/Tando hours on Hochanda TV at the week-end.   These Mixed Media Art Boards have been tucked away in my stash just waiting for me to be ready to make good use of them.  Today was their day.   The idea is "Whats' under the Sea" and the 3 boards are intended to reflect the journey down into the depths.

First all the boards were given a Gesso base.   Follow by Distress paint in Green and Blue, acrylic paint in teal.   The first board (above) was then further painted with Imagination Crafts shimmering acrylics.   The water nearer the surface reflecting the sunlight above.   Inkylicious stamps, silhouette   stamps used next in Teal ink and Silver ink.   A plaid fish stencil used next with Imagination Crafts pale orange glitter paste!   A few strands of seaweed painted in and Imagination Crafts green glitter paste touched on randomly.

Board No. 2, this has been stamped with more of the inkylicious fish Gold and Bronze inks were added to the stamping mix this time.

Finally the sea bottom.   Yellow distress paint and gold Imagination Crafts Shimmering acrylics added for the sea bed.   Part of a Woodware ship used for the wreck resting there, stamped in brown with some areas picked out in brown felt pen.   The anchor is from Rogue Redhead Designs (I am so glad I have almost all of the RRD sets as the business has now closed and they are so good.)   The embossed fish this time is from Dreamweaver and the green paste.

Once all the boards had been finished more Teal acrylic pulled in from the side.   Finally Viva crackle paste smeared over parts of the boards in varying thicknesses.   I like the Viva crackle it dries quite quickly and is completely clear when dry so it adds texture and interest without blocking the underlying stamping.

The little tiles that hold the boards are left over from the bathroom at my old house, saved because it was obvious they would be useful in time.   Dean my friendly builder is getting used to my just keeping this or having an idea about that, he even donated a few left over tiles of his own.   The glossy tiles were filed to give the glue some tooth.  The glue used is a very strong contact glue which went off quickly and there is no parting board and tile now.  A little piece of light pull cord makes the hanger at the top.

So of course I want to enter a few challenges and they are
