Go Tag Thursday have a theme of steampunk this week. Cross with myself because I forgot to link to them last week! Made the Tag with them in mind, posted it onto this blog and entered in challenges completely forgetting Go Tag Thursday. So this week I was determined not to do that again.
Steampunk that fascinating mix of victorian ornate and inventive style and modern technology baked with imagination and iced with science fiction. You can be fussy and fancy as you want.
I die cut the tag shape twice. The top tag was then cut in half and then stamped and embossed. Had to do it that way because if you cut into heat set embossing the melted powder with peel off. Next the two halves were dusted with orange and ageing colours of DI. The cogs are die cut grunge board, coloured with green DI. Eyelet set they do still turn.
The second tag firstly brushed all over with the same Marigold DI as the upper tag. Next the Tando Cog tag overlaid and dusted over with a brown (I've forgotten which shade it is), more of the same applied to the edges. This was topped off with a Sizzix fancy die. If you have troubles with fancy dies Sizzix are the best and it is really easy to push all the little bits out. Turned it into a sticker and then traced the outlines with black pen.
This is also for
