Green Bird

Well it is a miserable day, and the battery on my cordless vacuum his died.  Apparently if you do not use your cordless vacuum frequently the battery left on charge gives up!  Perhaps I should have cleaned the kitchen floor or something but after my last post my craft room put out another call to me.  Well what choice did I have in view of that.

There are a lot of green themed/spring themed challenges out there at the moment they were part of the inspiration for this CAS postcard.

I've never inked this little Stamping' up bird before today became the day.   Inked with Sepia Archival, and then stamped again to make a mask.   Tando brickwork stencil overlaid the masked image and dusted with Crushed Olive DI.   Un masked the bird was coloured with ProMarkers in different shades of green, the shale colour was used for the branch.

Hay Presto a CAS card, a fun little green bird.   So who sent me off down this path?

Addicted to CAS - This fortnights code word is BIRDs.   It is always worth checking out what this team does they have a brilliant range of styles but always keep it CAS.

Challenge up your life - Another fortnightly challenge seems a lot of good challenges are fortnightly now.   This time their prompt is Stencils.

Less is More - This challenge is 7 or 8 years old now, originally stated by two friends on from Southampton the other from the Isle of White.  They have both now moved on but have left a talented team in there place all of whom honed their CAS skills and style with this challenge.   Another fortnightly challenge looking this time for Stencils and One Layer.

CAS-ual Fridays - Final challenge this post.  An interesting fortnightly challenge with another fascinating team.   In honour of St Patricks day they are Going Green.

Nearly time to eat, think the chef is doing something special today.

  1. I saw this in the gallery at LIM and had to pop over and say what a fabulous design this is! Yes, I've also noticed that a lot of challenges are going fortnightly. I do like weekly challenges but a fortnightly challenge does give you a bit of thinking time. I sometimes get frustrated by weekly challenges that don't include the whole weekend in their schedule - so easy to miss the deadline!
