Playday Sunday

Son still poorly and hired up in his room.  When I'm not well I tend to just get on with my day to day life so am perhaps not as sympathetic as another mother might be.  There is the matter of our temper both of us have short fuses and if I were the one under the weather I'd stay out of everyones way as well.   He'll surface when he feels like it, then it's get a job and get him back on his feet.

It is rather like having the house to myself so I've been playing.   First up a Howlite necklace, this stone is associated with calming, helping you to sleep and stress relief.   I kinda get that it is lovely to touch and the veins running through are fascinating.

DT visitors please scroll down I've entered more than one challenge in this post.

Then someone ordered a chainmaille bracelet that had to be made, no photos of that.   Jewellery addiction given it's fix time to visit the craft room.

This is an old stamp and one that I'm very fond of.  The scratchy sketch effect gives so much movement and life to the bird.  I've simply stamped the image in black memento ink and coloured it with Chameleon Pens and ProMarkers.   The colour palette came from MFT Card Challenge.
The flowers are the peach and coral colours, the bird is the pastel blue and the leaves are grey.   No sentiment, when it comes time to use this card I'll add something appropriate.

Then I made a couple of post cards.   The first was a direct response to Sunday Postcard Art.   This is a weekly challenge, this Sunday's prompt is Water.

For the sky and sea DI inks in shades of blue were dusted over the card.   The sailing ship has been coloured with felt pens.   I've had these felt pens for years long before it became the norm for us all to use solvent based pens.  They are good quality felt pens and their nibs have remained firm.   The birds were added in grey memento.  The waves have been given white tops with a white pen.

Somewhere is craft land there is a challenge asking for Vehicles.   I cannot remember which one it is and have not found it, yet.  Found it!

This post card is a direct take on Inkspirational current challenge.   It is the mini version of umbrella man, and other TH stamps for the buildings.   DI inks dusted top and bottom, yellow felt pen in some of the boxes represent light on in an office building.

Harley cats wants attention now so good night.
