Practice pieces

Yesterday was a bit tough on my feet, been a long time since I stood up for four hours solid.   That is the nature of this little job I've got on my feet moving short lengths checking tidying and photographing stock in supermarkets.   Still the extra pennies will be helpful.

Got home needing to be creative so more time on my feet while playing in the craft room.   End result a little set of ATCs.   Remember when they were all the rage?  Artist Trading Cards are the brain child of a more mainstream artist who saw the potential of making her own business cards, each one a  little work of art showcasing her style.  They were taken up by us paper crafters who loved the small format 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches.   Anything goes but they can never be sold just swapped.   I wonder if future "antique" tv shows will feature collections being sold to raise money for other family projects.

There were 3 grey chipboard blanks hanging around and I picked on those.   A base coat of white gesso.  When that was dry Adirondak ink dusted over, the colour is Pool.  Inkylicious Angle Fish stamps with Memento ink and then ProMarkers.   That's Crafty Dinky stencil for the bubbles white pen filled those in, the same pen was also used to colour one of the fish and add some other little details.  Viva Terra Paste and Imagination Crafts Stardust paint in gold for a little extra texture and sparkle.   Finally Glossy Accents (where would we be without glossy accents?) enhance the eyes and some of the bubbles.

A little creative blast from the past.

These challenges might enjoy this little set.
