Driving Miss Daisy

It's been a busy few days but don't seem to have done anything.   That is often the way isn't it we cannot seem to find any time but do not appear to have anything to show for it.   Really we do get quite a few little things done but as crafters we are used to having results to show don't we.

Well for the last couple of days I've been putting this mixed media canvas together.   Having received some new texture medium and stencils recently I had a play on a canvas but didn't know what else to do with it.   Then the idea of using TH old jalopy die, everything then went from there.

Having cut the vehicle and decided on it's placement the idea to give it wings occurred to me.  A sort of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!    To build the background blue and green were first sprayed over the canvas.   Next the happy smiling sun and the button flowers were stamped over it.   These were coloured with ArtQuest shimmering water colour paint.  Then I found some long saved (and forgotten) brads,  three become part of the floral theme while 2 gold coloured ones were added to the wheels.  Finally three white paper flowers have been glued onto the car and had their centres coloured  yellow.  I'm very pleased with this happy cherrie canvas.

Well you just know there will be challenges to share this with!

{Pin}spirational Challenges -  This is week two of the current picture, think the image has been in the back of my head since the challenge went up last week.

Artistic Inspirations - Always an anything goes with a twist, this fortnight the twist is Anything Goes.

Checking the challenges has just reminded of some others I'd like to try to entry so guess tomorrow will be a craft room day! :-)
