Flowers

Well the sun is still shining but there is a lovely breeze, I've just been out for a walk the breeze made it a comfortable walk.  This is my kind of weather long may it continue, will have to get the watering can out later.

Came home and finished the card I'm going to show you now.  I love being in my craft room with the patio doors open onto the back garden.  Wimp Harley does not venture out through the cat flap if he can avoid it.  That cat is a master at avoiding using the cat flap.  However if I go into the garden or am at least in paws reach he will pop out for a quick look around.   He was still in the craft room with me when a Starling stopped by to check out the green stuff.  Harley flew out and was almost on the bird before it realised.   The bird did escape but not before a paw strike, so Harley can move when he wants to.

The card.   My flower stamps are real treasures some of them are 20+ years old, good old wooden back red rubber stamps.  Floral cards are very much to my taste I'm not a fan of a lot of the more "modern" stamps and styles.  It is always a real pleasure when there are challenges that allow me to indulge myself.

The old music sheet background is genuine sheet music which has yellowed and aged.  All I needed to do was distress the torn edges to blend in.  The main stamp is Inkadinkado in the style of PSX.  The oblong panel was die cut, coloured with ink remaining of an Inkylicious duster and stamped.   The sunflower was stamped again, coloured with Chameleon Pens and fussy cut out.  I wanted the image to go over the edge of the panel, with this does silicon glue gives it lift.   The second image tucked behind is from Penny Black, colour has been brushed over the image rather than carefully painted on.  Edges torn and dusted with Rusty Hinge.

So who gave me permission to indulge myself?

Fashionable Stamping - Floral,  Thank you for my recent win girls,

Studio 75 - Fussy Cutting, something else I love doing.

Creative Artiste - This monthly challenge is always anything goes mixed media

Retro Rubber - Beautiful Flowers, the challenge that encourages you to use your older stamps.  And why not new is not always better.

Going to go and carry on enjoying this weather now.
