Playing with something I love

Goodness there went another week and now it is September.  To be fair I knew last week would be busy with quite a lot of store visits and this whole fit thing I'm on walking and or cycling most days.   In between all week I've worked on a Tando kit.

I've always enjoyed working with Tando and have used it in a variety of ways.  This basket is a kit I won some time ago.   It has waited it's turn as so many things do, it was a lot of fun putting together.

You get 5 cut pieces of MDF which you cover or paint and glue together to make the basic shape.  You also get 4 sides of Tando board with the heart shapes cut out, the cut our hearts you can use or save for another project.  You also get a Tando board handle and two strong split pins to hold the in place when you have finished.

I'll just tell you the various mediums and materials used in this project.  Chalk paint, Glitter embossing paste, Rubber stamps, Chameleon pens, Gilding wax, Vellum, and Distress Inks.  It took a whole week waiting for layers of paint and glue to dry.  Well worth it, you can never have to much storage can you.

Entering this into:

A Perfect time to Craft - This monthly challenge is always anything goes and the range of styles and techniques displayed have something for everyone.

Altered Eclectics - Well it wouldn't be the first the month if I didn't have an entry to this one would it?

Eclectic Ellapu - I enjoy this challenge but recently they have set themes and time does not always allow me to join them.   Happily this month is Anything Goes.

Mix it Up - Monthly challenge here with Anything Goes optional twist Layers (3 layers or more)  Lots of layers in this project with paint, stamping, embossing paste, gilding and a final dusting with distress inks.

Hope you all enjoy this project, I'll be back soon with what ever I have to offer next.
