Purple Art and Insects

And the postcards keep on coming.   The first is one I made today with a couple of challenges in mind.

I used two stencils one from That Special Touch for the base piece coloured it with Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord on the outer blocks.  Over it the Tando words stencil for Art in Seedless Preserves.   The little paint brush is from Creative Expressions stamped in Adirondack Eggplant filled in with felt pen in a very similar shade of purple.

The Rainbow Card Challenge - Vivaciously Violet

This next post card was made a few days ago.   Having been paper crafting for close on 30 years you might imagine the stash pile is big, oh yes very big pile.  It is no surprise then if from time to time I come across something tucked away un-used and forgotten about.  Such was the case with this Bee and Honeycomb set from The Artistic Stamper.

Obviously the bees were stamped first in Black ink and them masked.  The background came next in Sepia and over that 3 distress inks, Squeezed Lemon, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey.    Masks off felt pens out touches of yellow on the bees.   The words Bee Happy added in the same yellow half of each letter over written with grey.  This card has been ear marked for a friend of my son but as he wants to make her one as well it is not going in the post yet.
