The morning after

Well after yesterday today was realisation about how we will organise ourselves going forward.  For me that was another trip to the supermarket, and cleaning the oven.  This was a chore that the chef was going to do before his late night escapade.   Then a bottle of something green fell out of the fridge smashing to bottle and spreading glass and green stuff all over the kitchen floor.  With 2 cats in the house not to mention a fella hoping around on just one often bare foot that glass had to be very careful cleaned up.

All the above made me quite moody and resentful all I wanted to do was play in the craft room.  Boring you with this because this is my vent space, apologies but released now and we did get to a better place after.

Anyway I did get to play.

And play I did.  The coloured vellum is something I've had for a long time, the die used came with a recent Joanna Sheen box publication.  I adore this die and just wanted to design a card around it.  The central panel is a Dream Weaver Stencil, firstly with Whisper felt pens and then sealed with Imagination Crafts clear embossing paste.

At some point I decided that this would be an easel card.  A piece of A4 card cut in half length wise made the base structure with the vellum section wider than the card.  This allows the very open patten of the die cut to stand out.  The base sections that are part of the display have been coloured with Peeled Paint DI.  The floral stamp was a magazine stamp that I have 3D decoupaged and repeated it over the base.   The sentiment is quite probably my favourite it says it all.

Challenges in mind were
My Time to Craft! - Use a Stencil (fortnightly)
TGIF - Vellum Die Cut (weekly)
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Flowers and Sentiment (fortnightly)
C R A F T - 3D Decoupage (weekly)
CraftWorld - All Shapes and Sizes (closes 9th June)
