My local hairdresser is a combined salon, it started as a nail "bar" then a tanning booth and also spray tanning were added, other beauty treatments are being added all the time.  Hairdressing only started when another local salon shut.   The owner is not trained in hairdressing but employs a lovely woman who is.   Yesterday's announcement was disappointing for her the hairdressing side will reopen but obviously not the nails.  Question what is the difference between having your hair washed, cut/styled and dried by someone wearing a full face visor and you the client in a mask; and sitting opposite someone in a full face visor, with a desk between you, attaching and decorating your nails?  

One of the lovely people who visit me here is Meg.  On returning her visit I discovered that she is on the design team for Make My Monday.  Their current fortnightly challenge theme is Use Stencils.  Another challenge that caught my attention is The Sisterhood of Crafters who also have a stencilling challenge.

Here is my offering in Black and gold with a touch of white to balance it.  The stencil is from Studio Light part of their Grunge collection.  Versamark embossing ink stippled through stencil then Gold Perfect pearls dusted over.  The little Bee from Artistic Stamper was given the same treatment and attached with sticky pads.   The happy sentiment is embossed in Gold ep.

Then things got colourful!   The fish is from Creative Expressions isn't he cheerful?  You can see him swimming round in his aquarium can't you.  Once stamped the image was masked and a few bubbles drawn on, Glossy Accents dots over them created a resist point.  When the glossy accents had dried an ombre of blue blended over the card topped by a strong contract.   Used felt pens to colour the top hatted fish and his ballon.  Finally the word Hi added at the bottom with Frantange crushed glass in blue.  This is one of my postcards intended for a friend who might appreciate it's silliness.
