Now is the time to say goodbye.
(Goodbye)
Now is the time to yield a sigh.
(Yield it, yield it)
Now is the time to wend our way-eee
Until we meet again
Some sunny day.
Goodbye, goodbye, we're leaving you, skiddlydye.
Goodbye, we wish a fond goodbye, fa-ta-ta-ta-ta, fa-ta-ta-ta.
Goodbye (goodbye), goodbye (goodbye), we're leaving you, skiddlydum.
Goodbye, we wish a fond goodbye, la-la-ta-ta-ta.
La da dah, lah la la,
La dah da da dah, rhump te tump tum tum tum tump
You know there comes a time in everyone's life when they must say goodbye. That time is now, and so with tears in either eye we say goodbye, as people have said throughout the years. We leave this mortal coil on which we strut and fret our weary ways, as Shakespeare put it, God bless him. What a wonderful old chap Shakespeare was, bald but sexy.
Take that rhythm away with its wonderful melodies.
Oh, goodbye they say.
Goodbye, goodbye, why not say it again,
Goodbye, we wish you all goodbye.
I've had this little ear worm going round for days, ever since the Challenges for Days list on the 1st went up. Why? Well there is a challenge on there from More Than Words. Their new challenge for July is Goodbye & Monochrome. The word got the little grey cells jiggling, what does Goodbye mean to you?
My thought process took me to the idea that we use the word at times of change. Many of us do not like change at least not at first, but change is not a bad thing. As the saying goes if nothing changed there would be no butterflies. That led to the Andy Skinner Stencil by Tando the evolution of your species, so OK this is my first conscious journal page except i do not yet have the journal. There are so many things going on here. Different Inks, different stamps, different ideas, but an overriding sense of positivity.
Monochrome, one colour shades and variations of a colour. Usually I'd go for cool Greens and Blues, or maybe more recently Yellow. So I chose purple/mauve/lilic. In the rainbow the colour that becomes between blue and red.
You too Zoe....keep well and have fun x Looks like you enjoyed this one? x.
ReplyDeleteZoe, this is the most entertaining blog post I've read for ages! I don't remember this song but it would be typical of Cook/Moore to say that Shakespeare is "bald but sexy"!
