Thank you

A big thank you to all you lovely people who visit and leave lovely comments.  We all like visitors who comment and tell us what they like about our offering,  I do try to return your visits and when possible leave a comment on something of yours that is especially note worthy.  Not necessarily the first post but a scroll through always finds something extra special.

Unfortunately with all the changes to blogger there have been problems, I'm sure you have already found them.   That it does not seem possible to leave a reply to a comment is perhaps a little frustrating but not too bad.  The fact that as often as not you get a "Whoops error" message when you try to leave a comment on someone else's blog is a big issue.  Please do not think your comments are not appreciated they are very much so, Thank you.

So what am I hoping you will comment on today?  Well there is this.

It started as a post card.  Many moons ago there was a British business called "The Stamp Bug" but they closed a couple of years ago.   Their red rubber un-mounted stamps were quirky and different many were designed by Penny Bearcroft aka Penibear.   One such set is the Dragonfly Dreams set I've used here.   I love how these images do not have borders but fade in and out.

First came the main image stamped in you guessed it "Lightening Black".  Then the card was baryered with Big and Juicy blue/green ink.  A smaller piece of card was also coloured at the same time.  This smaller piece was then stamped with the beautiful quote.

Oh dragonfly,
sweet little dragonfly;
Around lovers you linger,
then off you fly;
With the beat
of your iridescent wings;
Messages of cheer
you bring.

The stencilling in embossing paste came next, the green one is wisteria upside down.  Viva Gloss Gel provided the dots.  More stamps from the Dragonfly Dreams set provided the small quote around the sides and the veins of a wing stamped onto the main quote.  The single Dragonfly is not from the set but is such a good match.   The finishing touch is Temple Stone ep, I so hope that the pots I have never run out this stuff is so great for texture.

Once the post card was assemble I thought it was finished and even shared it in CraftWorld.  A couple of days later I realised that this needed to be the topper on a card.  It just happens that one of my packets of A4 white card stock was exhausted.  Looking at the shelves of other card stock I came across a packet of blanks that had been aside as you cannot work directly onto them.  This peachy colour matches the brilliance ink touched round the edge of quote and top of the postcard.  So finally this card is complete.

Well the weather here is all sun and showers so it must be APRIL! and the past few weeks have all been a bad dream.  Just in case I'm wrong Stay safe, Keep well & Have Fun.
