It must be all of 6 inches tall! The past 2 or 3 years I've scattered bee friendly flower seeds and left them to see what happens. A a result I've had glorious daisies, A hollyhock, A Foxglove, Stunning Thistles but they might have self seeded, one Poppy and now this tiny but perfectly formed Sunflower.
Oh and yes weeds, lots of weeds but they had very pretty flowers that the bees loved as well so they stayed.
The Sunflower had to be celebrated didn't it.
The Tag base is from a pad of card printed on each side, the gorgeous mix of orange and yellow seems just right. 2 sheets from a small pad that came with a magazine a long time ago have been used as well. The bottom of a 6 x 6 page torn off and stuck over the now die cut tag for added yellow and introducing other colour. The second sheet used for the die cut arrow and buckle, the blue of this sheet matched the blue in the torn piece a natural partner.
The Sunflowers, an old Bo Bunny set getting it's very first inking. It is quite disgraceful really how many stamps that live here have not yet seen an ink pad but what a good thing I can never bear to move any of my stamps to new owners. hahaha.
So Sunflower stamped onto yellow card in Archival Coffee ink, and then coloured with ProMarkers, the three flowers are at different heights thanks to sticky pads. There had to be a Butterfly and it had to be my favourite one Also coloured with ProMarkers. An old (of course) alphabet set provided the letters for the message "Sunflowers bring Smiles." Finally some bits of bling and ribbon from the stash mountain.
