Welcome August

This afternoon I'm going to a friend's for lunch, we decided a few weeks back that we would be one of these household pairings and so can and do visit each other.   For those of you who use it the Challenges for Days by date 1st of the month list will be published a little later today as a result, but then that gives the American sites time to up date!

I thought before going out I'd pop this card up for you.

The background has been randomly stamped with the grapes and then coloured with DI and my inkylicious dusters.  The grapes have a lilic and a pink/purple dusted over them, some of the colours have been allowed to go outside the lines, the leaves and the rest of the card have a soft green blended over.  These colours break the stark white of the card without trying to dominate.

The main topper is yet another old red rubber wood mounted stamp, so not recent!  The images have been coloured with Chameleon Pens, this time I took advantage of their inbuilt fade to full colour and as I have the colour tops I mixed colours as well to get another blend.  The stamped image has marks as well to help with the effects of light and reflection which certainly helped guide the colouring as well as giving a tutorial on colour and light.   The sentiment is a magazine cover stamp.
