Dug out another old stamp today, it was going to be a one layer card but a smudge on the space outside the image put paid to that.
So It became the centre piece of a multi layer masculine card instead. The stamp is from Stamps Happen Inc another undated but one that has been in the collection for maybe up to 15 years. It was coloured with felt pens both my trusty Whisper Pens and more recently acquired do crafts "Artiste" pens. It became very apparent today that the older Whisper pens are the superior, the brush end on the newer ones have deteriorated but I'm sure they will still be useful. Lots and lots of colouring and colour blending involved. It took a full hour, and approx 20 pens just to complete the alcohol heavy image.
To create the card some Mushroom coloured card formed the base, the Hot of the Press stamp "Celebrate" stamped in Versafine. I do not always use a sentiment as my cards are made for the sake of making them, thought the word Celebrate would work as the card could still be used for all sorts of occasions. The edge of the base card dusted with DI in Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo. 2 4" square pieces of card form the mat under the image these are in 2 shades of cream, the darker on the bottom so the colour lightens as the layers lift from the base.
