Middle of September and it has been sweltering, not unusual for the time of year but that does not make it any more comfortable. Cannot stay in the craft room for long, it is probably why ideas are not flowing or when they do they do not work out in practice. Some people are never happy are they hahaha
This one worked, I think.
Another shaving foam background is the starting point, well almost. A4 card cut in half length wise, the stamp I used works best if the the card is turned to Landscape. I knew that the die which came with a magazine earlier this year would go with the overall shabby chic style this was intended to be.
Die cut with gradulated purple vellum, left over from a previous project. The image stamped with Spectrum noir alcohol proof die. I've only recently got this ink and am very pleased with the results it gives. Here I stamped onto light weight vellum paper and heat set it. The flowers were coloured with Chameleon pens, vellum cut with a deckle edge trimmer and stuck directly onto my background.
The die cut piece is attached to the background from the back and folded over. Finally a piece of purple binding ribbon folded into a bow shape and a very old decorative bead flower secured with a pearl topped split pin. So my creativity has not been completely boiled away in the heat then.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. I haven't used shaving foam for any of my projects but did projects with it when I have entertained my Grandchildren a few years ago. It definitely makes a pretty background especially when it is topped with that lovely die cut and flower strip. Thanks for joining us at The Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog.
