Looking back about 50 years

Oh my goodness is it really 50 years?  It must be well maybe 51!  We lived on the South Coast, Bournemouth with its stretch of golden sands and wonderful wooded chimes.   My friends and I spent a lot of time down on the beach exploring, the walk through Boscombe Chime was very close to home and a wonderful playground.   Designing this card has brought a lot of happy memories back.

This picture is so in keeping with those days of innocent friendship.   It is a Tag shape cut using the TH tag die but folded and laid on the die so the left edge is the crease of the card.  Image stamped and masked, no fiddly cutting for once, the outer edges dusted with DI giving you that rosey hazy glow of those far off summer holidays.   Felt pens coloured the image some direct to paper, other scribble onto an acrylic block and transfer from there with a water brush.

Next using an old school compass small holes were pierced through the card.   Embroidery silk stitched through the hole at the top and down through each piercing, twice.  Three little charms saying Dream, Imagine, Believe, were added on the first pass and secured on the second.

My friends and I have all lost touch as life's adventures have taken us in different directions, back then we had our lives in front of us, and we do still have a lot of living to do but we also have our memories of that period between childhood and adulthood.

One of the challenges this is for specify a Tag Card that opens like a card, here is the evidence.
