Postcards are fun to do. Their challenge is keeping it one layer or with things that will be secure in the post. Because the address and message go on the back you cannot use markers that bleed through, so pencils or water based mediums only. Then of course there is the size 6"x4" is the traditional postcard size.
So I thought a couple or three with quirky animals/critters would be fun to do.
This is "Party Pooch" by Whipper Snapper Designs dated 2005. I just love the confused slightly hung over look on this dogs face. I've given him pink eyes and bags below them. Image stamped and masked, stencil places over and dusted with yellow ink. Mask removed dog given a spotty coat and other colouring with felt pens. Some red ink the dusted around the edges.

This is another image from Whipper Snapper Designs dated 2004. I just love the silliness of it. Once again coloured with felt pens the brush nib of one of them also used to write the sentiment. Edges dusted with distress inks.

Last postcard, this time a Creative Expressions stamp age unknown but certainly 10+ years. Sentiment is another old stamp embossed with blue ep. Fish masked and then stencil laid over and inks applied. Once again felt pens used to colour the image.
