But they are both poorly people with a nasty cold and very runny noses. As a result I have learnt that Izzy likes to watch documentaries about Sharks but does not like Orcas because of the way they kill their prey.
On the other hand I'm quite content here with my stamps, inks, dies, stencils, punches and other arty/crafty paraphernalia. Here are a couple of things made yesterday
Having not made any jewellery at all for a couple of months it was good to do a little knotting. The large pieces are Terra Jasper so probably slices of sea bed. The are also Carnelian, Agate, Aventurine, Quartzite and Serpentine in this roughly 30" necklace.
Then there is this joyful dragon. When ever a dragon stamp or theme comes into view I imagine them as traditional dragon shapes but the size of dragonflies. Certainly the case with this one. The stamp is from Personal Impressions and dates back to the days when most stamps were rubber and wood mounted. This one also come from when Oriental designs were all the rage. So more than 10 years but how much more is guess work.
The dragon is coloured with 2 shades of green and 2 shades of yellow. The "waste from the corner punches on the green mat, have been used on the dragon topper with the corners placed in the corners of the white base card.
Inspired by
Retro Rubber - #143 Use only Yellow and Green with a stamp more than 1 year old.
Through the Craft room Door - Anything Goes
Artsystamper - #23 Anything Goes
Pixie's Crafty Workshop - #386 Always anything goes with snippets. The green mat is a un-used piece from a previous project and then where it has been corner punched the "waste" was recycled onto the card. Playing for fun and praise.
International Art and Soul - #91 include an animal, ok this is a mythical beast but perhaps a little poetic licence is allowed?
Right there are more projects on my craft table so I'm off to play. Stay Safe, Keeps Well, Wear your Mask and HAVE FUN
Brilliant card Zoe! Having seen many a Chinese Dragon Dance (grew up in Singapore just for starters) they're huge beasties. The shades of green are just perfect too!
