Baby Wipe Background

It has been a rough couple of days.   Izzy's ex Boyfriend made a meal out of moving from their flat to his friends where he has been staying.  He clearly wanted to get back together but when he finally realised it was not going to happen he reverted to the unpleasant behaviours that led Izzy to end things in the first place.  So lots of phone calls.  Then after she went out with her girl friends on Saturday evening she got a call to say one of them (who works for the NHS) had tested positive so now bless her she has to self isolate in the flat on her own for 2 weeks.   Thank goodness he had finally gone; Her mother and I will both be nervous wrecks at the end of the fortnight!  On the upside she can work from home.

All this means I struggle to get into the craft room!  Yesterday I just put her on speaker and managed to have a little play.

When I watercolored the Autumn Colours card the other day it was with DI and a water brush.  This baby wipe was used to clean the acrylic block after each colour.  Quite deliberately let me add because I know it would give me a fabulous background.  The only down side are the"cute" little bears embossed onto it.  Honestly what possible purpose do these embossings have?  If you are a mother changing and cleaning your child you just want to grab a wipe and get on with it.  If you are the child that young it will not mean a thing.  Absolutely pointless but it adds to the manufacturing process and in turn to the cost of the product.

For the autumn images I turned to another old Elusive Images plate, this one is dated 2008.  Some of them stamped directly onto the background others stamped on card, coloured with Chameleon Pens and fussy cut.   The quote comes from a magazine plate from a couple of years ago.

Entering now into the twilight zone with Izzy.  Remind the young adults in your world they are at risk if they are out with their friends and not following the rules.  20 girls have gone into self isolation following Izzy's girls night out, and the girl who tested positive works for the NHS.  If half of them have contracted Covid_19 and then gone home to pass it onto their partners or family that is an awful lot of people having to self isolate and who will possibly contract the virus.

Stay safe, Keep well, follow the rules either we all do or it might as well be none of us.  Finally and most importantly HAVE FUN.

  1. Its so easy to catch Covid. My son had it in April and it was a Nurse who went to work and had it and passed it to all her colleagues of whom Jakes partner is one. I hope Izzy is fine and is well during her fortnights quarantine. I love this baby wipe background, it looks great, Hazel xx

  2. A gorgeous Autumnal creation Zoe, love craft at this time of year, just not so keen on the colder and shorter days. Many thanks for joining in with our 'Autumn' theme at Stamping Sensations challenge.

  4. Beautiful work Zoe! All the glories of Autumn and I love it. Poor Izzy - she's going through the mill right now. She must be so grateful that her ex has gone and also that she has such a close relationship with you. Lucky people - both of you. Here's to a quick recovery for her!

    Hugs

  5. Ooopsie, I misunderstood and thought Izzy was positive for COVID rather than self isolating. Either way, here's to a happy outcome! xx
