It's raining, again. No crisp Autumn for us this year! No piles of dry leaves to shuffle through or collect. Just pools of water and soggy leaf mulch. We will just have to create our own crisp dry autumn!
Like this! The embossing folder reminded me of falling leaves and as there is a new challenge on the block, Lets Squash It, calling for Geometric embossing folder designs on metallic the idea came together.
An old Cuttlebug folder maybe 15 years old and some gorgeous gold mirror card. Over which I wanted to add some leaves. Stampendous die set provided these, I nearly always use wax paper between the die and the paper/card to be cut. This time the card was a piece of water colour paper covered with brusho powders and set aside a few months ago. Duly dis cut the leaves on the paper look fantastic but so do the wax paper ones, especially as they had taken some of the brusho colour in the process.
The wax paper also had that wonderful dry crisp feel of Autumn Leaves at their best. Using the water colour paper and a Cherry Lynn flourish autumn colour has been re-introduced into the project along with a sense of movement. Leaves and flourish stuck in place with Gloss Accents. As normal no sentiment but this would be a nice retirement card.
