The world has turned once again and it is Monday. It's also very much the calm that follows the storm here. Yesterday's winds have pretty much ripped all the leaves from the trees stripping them of their Autumn glory. There is a tree just across the road from me that was in full colour a couple of days ago now it is all but bare just a few straggling leaves clinging on. Were it not for the fact that in just a couple of months new buds will be appearing on this tree and all the others it would be sad. But there is a cycle that rolls on continuously regardless of us.
One of the natural cycles is the planets orbit of the sun and the spinning of said planet giving us day and night. The transition between day and night gives us glorious colourful skies, artists have been trying to capture that beauty possibly for as long as there have been artists. I love playing with sun rise/set skies.
So much so that the CASology #377 Sunset theme this fortnight made my imagination dance. Have already shared on entry but here is another. Card carefully masked and various DI dusted over the exposed area. Masks removed there was going to be a tree stamped to the left but an Elusive Images set was still on the table and this stamp demanded to be used, in versafine green.
It is not often that I join The Artistic Stamper Challenge, not sure why I don't! This month they have the prompt of Time which sunsets are a daily reminder of the passing of.
Well as everyone gets on with Christmas cards or other winter projects there are some other ideas circling in my head. Just watch this space!
As always Stay Safe, Keep Well, follow the rules, and HAVE FUN
Oooh, SO pretty Zoe

ReplyDeleteThe colors are so pretty together. You created a lovely sunset. I too often have plans to use a stamp set, but the one within reach wins out :) Thanks for sharing with us at CASology!
