Birthday Card for a Woman

If you know me you will not be surprised that I like to try find different ways to do things.   Sp the making of this card will not surprise you, it might amuse!

It was one of those that started with one idea and no wider scope.  A scrap of printed vellum pushed into a Dreamweaver stencil in a Big Shot.  Very pleased with the resulting embossing now i had to decide what to do with it.  Scrap of Gold mirror card fits nicely below the vellum piece but is a bit long trimming it off was easy enough.   The embossed image showed but to make it clearer the outline was traced on the reverse with a fine tip brown felt pen which just made it pop a bit more.  I did have a blue card but it needed something else between the new topper and base care.  Some shimmer paper dusted with pink and blue DI ripped on all four edges made the perfect mat.  Using a distressing tool the sides of the vellum were roughened to go with the mat.   Then I had a bright idea!  use a peel off for the sentiment.  First one placed on the gold card but it does not show, as hoped, through the vellum.  A second one side ways on to the gold card and vellum topper.

My cards are often gender natural but this one is definitely a for her style card.  Like so many of us doing the "fluffy" feminine style comes more easily than making masculine ones.
