Did someone say "send us a post card"?

 Well yes actually,

Brougham Street Community Nursery School

After half term we will be starting an eTwinning project with our partners in Romania and Hungary. It is very exciting. It will be based on the story of The Gingerbread Man, and different ways of telling the story of the Gingerbread Man and being understood regardless of the languages we speak.
We will be doing lots of gingerbread themed activities including baking gingerbread men but during baking one of the gingerbread men is going to escape and run away.
If you have family and friends that live in different places in Yorkshire, Great Britain or around the world it would be great if you would ask them to send us a postcard with photos of the area on and to write the words ”Run! Run! As fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread man” and to include who the card is from.
We can then learn about all the different places the Gingerbread man has been to visit. Please don’t tell the children about the post cards so it will be a surprise as they arrive at nursery.
Please address the postcards to

Thank you!

Seriously me sent a shop brought card? Not when there are stamps to be played with. Especially if it is a stamp that has not hither to been inked despite it being about 9 years old. Stamped in Black, coloured with Whisper Pens including the black on over the top of the word Paris. Could not find a suitable Carte Postale stamp so wrote it over the top, not very well, suspect the Nursery School Children will not mind.
Can I tempt you to join in from:
NBUS  - #20 Anything Goes with Never Before Used Schtuff
Retro Rubber - Anything goes with a stamp more than a year old.
I'd hate to swamp them but at the same time a few cards from surprising places will be great for the children and their teachers. Stay Safe, Keep Well, remember the rules are for all of us, Have Fun.

Comments

  1. The stamp, along with the hand-lettered extras, is a lot of fun and really suits the loose colouring style. This card is a lot of fun - thanks for playing along with us at Retro Rubber Challenge.

  2. What a great coloring style that fits the image so well. I can just image a postcard from Paris would look just like this! Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber for Anything Goes!
