Beginning to sense that daylight is lasting just a little longer

This is such a dreary time of year, I think we all feel it this waiting for the spring.  There are signs that spring is on it's way, the snowdrops are stirring in the garden early daffodils are poking our of the ground. Soon we will feel the warmth of the spring sun and lengthening of the days.

This card was inspired by We Love Chocolate Baroque.

Their theme for January is Feminine, there are so many of their stamp sets to choose from all have that exotic vintage elegant feel.   The set is delightfully feminine and a joy to use.

The lady has been stamped and embossed with Gold Moon Glow then coloured with Chameleon pens.  It rests on a piece of printed paper over some hand coloured paper that has also been stamped with a peacock feather paisley design from the set.  All the cards and the layers have been trimmed with a fancy edge.  The feather/paisley image down the fold edge echo's the first mat.  The peacock has been embossed with the same ep as the the main image, and coloured with one of the same Chameleon Pens.

A card like this deserves to have a inner to match don't you think?

  1. Like you Spring can't come soon enough for me. My bulbs are also showing signs of life and the snowdrops won't be too long now, two of our Viburnum varieties are actually flowering albeit sparsely but months ahead of normal.

A delightfully feminine creation Zoe and perfect for our January theme at We Love Chocolate Baroque, thanks so much for joining us again.

Here spring seems in it's way too, but there is unusual storms of snow. Hope that it doesn't kill the gems.
