I miss Hugs

and having only one cat after 12 years of multi is very weird.   Especially as Harley and I basically just happen to live in the same house where I wait on him hand and foot.

Going back out on ad hoc merchandising has been fun though so I am glad I did that.

Still finding time to play, here is a card based on using my favourite colour.

Green card stock with a hand embossed vellum overlay and a heat embossed sentiment carefully placed on the base card.

It has been about 10 months since I came back to card making and art/craft again.   Re-discovering older techniques has been one of the delights of the journey.   Years ago embossing over a stencil was a very popular thing to do but as more tools and time saving things have been invented it seems to have fallen out of favour.   To just stroke the vellum with a ball end tool and seeing the embossed lines appear is something I found very satisfying.

The vellum was secured in place with Grommets, something else we do not seem to use so much now!  I didn't think this card needed anything more.  Oh yes favourite colour well of course it is Green.

  1. A new blog layout Zoe, must confess I find this one testing, a friend has the same one and inevitably I miss her write up and end up at the comment option.

There is something magical about embossing on vellum Zoe and this is very pretty and a great entry at Allsorts thanks so much for joining in.Having seen your work I'm now off to dig out my Groovie system which hubby bought me a couple of years ago and it's not seen much action.
