New one to me, Heat Embossing with a Stencil

If you visit often and read all my verbiage you will know that a) I like to try new things b) CAS is a style I've struggled with over the years but have come to enjoy c) I'll happily mix old and new d) I the founder of and still a list manager at Challenges for Days

All of which means that challenges are a great source of ideas and inspiration.  Especially true with the lists I update!  One challenge I've come to look forward to is CAS Mix Up this month their challenge is to use a stencil with Heat Embossing and there are links to some really good tutorials.

Having told you that there are the links I'll own up to not having looked at even one of them!

The plastic stencil I used is not marked with a brand and the packaging has gone awol but the flower image is very pretty.  Stencil taped in place Versamark "ink" pushed through and white ep applied all over.  Once that was melted and set the open flowers re-inked and Wine Shabby ep added and melted.  The bud at the top received the same treatment with Old Rose shabby ep.  Quickie glue used to outline the leaves and then Hunter Green Shabby ep used.   At that point one of the flowers picked up a finger print and had to be re-heated to melt that out.  If you haven't counted that is 5 heat applications to the same part of the card stock!  Now I wanted this to be a CAS card but felt it needed just a little more, like a sentiment.   Versamark and wine shabby ep provided that.  There was some Green organza on the table which just cried out to be tied into a bow for inclusion on the card.

Very happy with how this worked out and now thinking how mind blowing it would be on black card.
