Trying a new idea!

Saw something on Pinterest yesterday but did not stop to take it all in or see if there were any instructions.   Today decided to give it a go, but without going back to the Pinterest prompt.   What I thought I saw was a gatefold card where the right hand fold is a circle.

Came up with this.

Could not for the life of me see how to make the circle and keep it attached to the base card, so in the end cut the circle out and made a hinge from a scrap of card to make it work.  The inner circle forms the topper.

The buff card was some left over from a previous play, it just needed trimming to make it tidy.  The Butterfly stamped onto another scrap of white card and the hinge (which you might just see a little of on the closed version) a small scrap of gold mirror card.

All the stamps are from an old Elusive Images set, looked but could not see it on the current Chocolate Baroque site.  A couple of the stamps have not been used before, the Thistle head on the topper, the panel on the inside and the floral flourish design used as background.  All stamping done with Stayzon in Purple and Brown, all colouring with Whisper Pens, all fussy cutting by my hand!

This card did take a little while to work out, stamp, cut, colour and construct but I am pleased with the result.  Just have to go back to Pinterest now to see how it should have been done!

Challenges

We Love Chocolate Baroque - Flowers, Butterflies or Birds.  Sorry girls just could not fit a bird on!

613 Avenue - #2-2021 Anything Goes (not using the option this time)

Creative Fingers - #201 Always Anything Goes

As you Like it - Rubber, Clear, or Digi and Why.  Rubber preferably wood mounted will always to No 1 for me.  Look after them and they will last for ever, the designs available, including all the back catalogs is vast and pretty much un-limited.  Un-mounted rubber next then clear but I do not own a single digi or ink for my printer.

Funky Junky Boutique - Ground Hog Day. 3 no make that 4 of my favourite things to do here! Experimenting, Stamping, Fussy Cutting and colouring.

NBUS Challenge - #23 Never Before Used Stamps listed in commentary above.

  10. I can't believe this. I was just thinking about you. I haven't joined in a challenge for years (many moons ago if you remember) and I didn't know how to add a link and thought "where's Zoe?". Anyway, I was just checking if it worked and saw your name. How strange is that. Gorgeous card. Hope all is well. Hugs Flo xx
