Received some new goodies in the post yesterday and couldn't wait to play with them.
Taking a piece of thin A4 grey board an gave it a covering of Gesso. Next the blossom branch painted in Acrylic paints. The two birds on a branch are new to me PaperArtsy Stamps that I was excited to use. Stamped in Archival Sepia and coloured with water colour felt pens. Then there was some stencilling using another new item a PaperArtsy one with Creative Inspiration clear paste and then over that some blue Sweet Poppy paste. First top left then more casually bottom right. So far so good, but there was quite a lot of white space and I fancied using Brushos. Water sprayed over top of board and sprinkled some blue powder love the resulting movement of colour it gave. So decided to repeat the application on the bottom. It was only after I'd used the powder that I realised how the felt pen marker colour was bleeding out into the water. Frustrating but to late to do anything about it. The last element of this piece some Pretty Gets Gritty texture paste randomly over the sheet.
Not at all sure what I will do with this but bleeding water colours aside I do like the result. Would like to share this with:

ReplyDeleteYou will know about the bleeding colour effect for next time so it COULD prove useful, as it happens, it looks like the robins have ruffled feathers! Always good to get to use new stash too
