Did you follow the funeral yesterday? To my eye The Queen looked her years for the first time and so alone. We have been told that Prince Andrew who was nearest to her did look at her during the service as if to make sure she was alright. It was probably her ability, seen throughout her reign, of keeping her emotions to herself that got her through it yesterday. All the highs and lows of that woman's life have been public, it takes a lot of strength to deal with that and I have nothing but respect for Her Majesty.
The events of the day certainly put me in a reflective mood.
This 4" x 6" postcard uses an old Do-Crafts Papermenia stamp and an equally old Thats Crafty stencil. Rose stamped first in Versafine black ink and masked, quite a fiddly mask to cut but worth it. The stencil was then placed and dusted with yellow ink. The diamond shape of the patten was repeated in the area coloured but of course you can only see part of that here. Mask removed the image was coloured with Yellow and Grey Whisper Pens.

Lovely sentiments, and an appropriate card too. It was worth the fiddly cutting of the mask - one of the perks of a one layer card! Thanks for playing along with our diamonds challenge at Less is More.
