It feels like I've hardly done anything in the craft room for days but it seems there are a couple of things to share this evening. How did that happen.
As you might know CAS is something I've embraced and am still learning what works and what doesn't. Hopefully this works.
Happy Birthday stamped letter by letter with different coloured chalk ink and metallic ink. Three butterflies stamped in copper colour ink and then coloured with Chameleon fine line pens.
Inspired by
Addicted to CAS - #197 Bugs
Perfectly CAS - #15 Repeat Stamping. Letter by letter some repeated in the sentiment.
Then a couple of other challenges inspired this.
One challenge is
Stamps & Fun = Creativity Challenge #389 Gold/Silver. Here I've been using Gold embossing powder on black card. First the eyes stamped in gold and then heat embossed. Then using a sweet poppy stencil and some glossy black embossing paste a floral flourish added top and bottom. While the paste was wet some of the embossing powder was sprinkled over.
Waiting for that to dry and using a brand new John Next Door die I attempted to die cut some flowers out of gold tissue paper. Umm that fragile paper that tears if you so much as look at it resisted being die cut. Trying to free the flowers from the paper they would tear but I did manage to save a couple which were used together with the wax paper used in the die cutting.
When the paste had dried heat was applied to melt the powder which also made the paste bubble a little adding yet more texture and dimension. Then the paper flowers were added and black pearls popped in the middle. A little gold ribbon to complete the tag.
The other challenge that set this in process was
More Than Words mini challenge, Eyes. Once again this month I've used tiny letters to write Eyes Soul three times on the tag. Because the Blue Frog inlinkz tool will not allow me to link my tag to More Than Words, there will be a short separate post just for them!
Well UK rules eased somewhat today which means we can go out to eat in once more. Still stay safe, keep well and have fun.
Such a pretty butterfly CAS card with great stamping of those individual letters Zoe. Wonderful texture and drama on your tag x.
