Our first challenge River of Creativity challenge went so well we decided to do it again! This month the theme is Parent and Child. Any/All crafts styles and techniques welcome the more diverse and inclusive we can be the better. Our only ask is that it should be clear on your project how the theme Parent and Child inspired it.
Here is my example
A double sided tag using and based on Paper Artsy "Advice to Sons" set. A TH tag die used with Kraft card, each side given a grungy background of Distress Inks pressed onto the craft mat, spritzed with water and then the card dragged through. The Paper Artsy images stamped in Archival Ink "coffee". Other images stamped in Kaleidacolor and Versafine, from Seth Apter and Stampin' up.
Decided to decoupage the chap in a hat, looking around for something to stamp the image on came across some paper where I'd made notes in tree format on my Father's family tree. It seemed like the perfect choice. Stamped, fussy cut and glued in place. The tag was embossed on on half with a Cuttlebug steampunk folder.
Thoughts behind this. Once you become a parent you will always be a parent regardless of what life holds. You will always offer advice to your child and subsequent descendants. Things like. Work Hard, Listen to your Elders!, Live life to the full and have a colourful life. All of which is represented here. As a child you will take your Parents with you for the rest of your life.
Here is a close up of the family tree section. Can you see the pencil marks?
Now if you are a member of a DT visiting here on commenting duty can I encourage you to check out our challenge and maybe join in? Thank you. Stay Safe, Keep Well, Please keep to the rules & Have Fun.
How very true Zoe, once a parent always irrespective of what happens along the way and how ever much they frustrate us with their life decisions. Love the grunginess of your tag and colours.
