Inspiration Station Challenge 17

1st of November for many of us that means just one more payday before Red Man Day.  Means lots of work for me building those displays in the shops!

It is also the first Monday of the month time for a new challenge at Inspiration Station.  This time our inspiration picture is this showjumping image.

As a Farrier's daughter I grew up surrounded by beautiful images of horses often vintage portrait's of Thoroughbred race horses.  My father shod many famous winners and was acknowledged by trainers and other experts as being very knowledgable in his field.

Seeing our inspiration picture this time I was taken back to my childhood.   Looking through my stamps this La Blanche vintage image was re-discovered.

I'm sure this stamp was based on one of those vintage portraits of someone's prized racehorse from the time when this was the sport of kings.

Coconut mat card cut to 12" x 4" and folded in half.  Image stamped in Archival Potting Soil.  Then layers of Distress inks blended around the edge.  Started with Antique Linen ending with Vintage Photo.  Look at how the Coconut mat wicks up the colour makes blending very easy, it also adds to the vintage look and authentic aged look.

A very masculine card it did not need any additional embellishment or a sentiment.  This might be a card my brother would like, especially as he will have many of the memories that I have.  What equine projects does the picture inspire with you?  Perhaps you and/or your children ride so maybe a memory page.  How ever your creativity works please do share with us at Inspiration Station

I'm struggling to find any suitable challenges to share this with!  It is going to be interesting to see how it works for my teamies.

Stay Safe, Keep Well & Have Fun x
