Isn't this time of year exhausting! My job means that all the local supermarkets are visited to help maintain levels of stock for specific brands on the shelves. Build those cardboard stands with promotions on them or just to check that agreements with manufactures are being adhered to. Everyone working in these shops is tired, they are all working flat out trying to keep the shop floor stocked while dealing with daily inflow of Christmas stocks and some sometimes demanding customers. I've also noticed that everyone seems to be going out earlier in the day so the roads as busier earlier a congestion repeated in those shops. Still just 8 more days to go and jousting by the amount of alcohol being purchased weekend after next everyone will be horizontal!
Finding time to just relax in the craft room has been a bit of a problem, we all know how hopeless it is to go and try to be creative with only an hour or so left of natural light and the working stresses still with us. However coming home today I had a quick look at blogland and a challenge Double D caught my eye with the theme of Lots of White.
I really like white on white but it can be the devil to photograph, this was taken under electric light so please forgive the quality.
The Butterfly and dangling snowflakes are from the current issue of Creative Stamping. Stamped in white and then embossed with Holographic ep onto vellum. This was cut with a deckle edge and then given a mat of off-white cards also trimmed with a deckle edge. The vellum attached to the mat with white pearl topped brads.
Onto another piece of the same card as the mat I used an Indigo Blu magazine Stamp again stamped in white and this time embossed in white as well. It could have been a sentiment but as it is this could be for any manner of Seasonal celebration card.
Below these is another vellum layer, this time printed vellum with white snowflakes. Everything rests on a white base card. Once it was all assembled a few silver sequins were randomly placed to just top it off.
Of course I'm sharing this with Double D and I would also like to share it with:
Allsorts - #654 Things with Wings and/or a Tail
and
Timeout - #203 Twisted Layers
